Jockey Mike Smith is in complete awe of two horses in the Preakness. This is what the Hall of Famer had to say about them, the race and his chance at the Triple Crown:

“The fog was so thick out there, I could only see a few yards in every direction. When we came out of it the first time, close to the finish line, I didn’t expect to find [Good Magic] there with us or to go out with us like he did. I was a bit surprised, honestly, but we went out with him and it was kind of like, ‘ok, let’s see who is better.’ Man, that’s no regular horse! He is something special to have done what he did all the way around, he had me worried; he made [Justify] work real hard. In the end, to be able to put him away and win says a lot about my horse. Justify proved a lot out there. I’m really proud of him. The chance at a Triple Crown, WOW! I feel blessed to have the opportunity of going to Belmont with a chance. You know, I don’t want to think about it too much; whatever is meant to be is meant to be. Right now, I just feel incredibly blessed. I’m really happy.”
