Belmont Stakes Contender Samraat

Runner up in the Wood Memorial, Belmont Stakes contender Samraat is a son of Noble Causeway and out of Little Indian Girl (by Indian Charlie). He went into the Kentucky Derby with 16-1 odds and finished in 5th just behind 4th-place finisher Wicked Strong once again – he finished behind him in the Wood Memorial (2nd place) prior. Now back in his home state of New York, the bay colt, owned and bred by My Meadowview Farm, will take to the Belmont Stakes 1 1/2 mile track in the hopes of running down the field of contenders, but most importantly – running down, rival, Wicked Strong. Can he do it? They say, “the third time’s a charm.”
